Can faculty have a satisfying career and a fulfilling personal life?
How do work and family intersect in the academic context?
Relying on data from a longitudinal study of 120 female faculty from a broad array of disciplines and different types of institutions in the United States, the presentation will address these questions.
The seminar will include a discussion of findings, theoretical perspectives and implications for change in higher education and family life.
