The Hellenistic Gymnasion of Pergamon Recent Research

Recent research has improved our knowledge of the architecture and sculptural design of the Gymnasion of Pergamon in the Hellenistic period. The lecture will introduce into the results of the last research projects in order to clarify the architectural design of the gymnasion and the functions and visual relevance of statues of kings in the gymnasion space.
