The Accounting Research Groups at HEC University of Lausanne and University of St.Gallen are pleased to announce the co-chaired Swiss Accounting Research Alpine Camp. In 2018 the event will be held at Champéry, on February 14-15 2018. The Research Camp aims at bringing together both experienced researchers, early career researchers, and PhD students to exchange research ideas and projects in one of the most popular Swiss Alps ski resorts.
We invite submissions of papers in all areas of financial and management accounting. We encourage submissions of empirical studies employing novel data and approaches both in terms of data gathering (e.g. field studies, experiments, and hand-collected) or settings (e.g. private firms, European data, banks and financial services,) to answer research questions of potential interests to regulators and practice.
Original papers to be considered for the workshop should be submitted no later than November 1st, 2017. Please make sure information about the authors are not included in the manuscript but in a separate file. All submitted papers will receive a referee report. Papers accepted for presentation will be assigned a discussant to foster debate and receive additional feedback. A limited number of papers will be invited for presentation. Each accepted paper will be allocated 60 minutes for presentation, discussion and Q&A from the audience.
Participation fee per person is 250 CHF, which covers conference access, paper downloads, coffee breaks, a buffet lunch, and a Swiss fondue dinner on Friday night. Participants will cover their own travel and accommodation costs. We encourage all attendees to stay on for the 1.5-day conference and dinner. Places for both events are limited and early registration is encouraged.
We also encourage participants to ski in the wonderful ski area of Porte du Soleil (daily ticket covers the ski pistes in both Swiss and French territories). Those who are interested can obtain the special offer from the conference organizer, please indicate your ski or other snow/ice activity options when registering.
