A symposium in honor of Rob MacDonald
It is our pleasure to announce a symposium in honor of Rob MacDonald, the former director and vice-director of the Lausanne branch of the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, taking place next September 12th in Epalinges (B301 and B305).
Rob spent 40 years of his stellar career in Lausanne and later in Epalinges, contributing numerous high impact publications and building a strong reputation for flow cytometry and immunology research in Lausanne. To celebrate his outstanding achievements, ten renowned international speakers have confirmed their participation; eight of them trained early in their careers with Rob, and are now group leaders in academia themselves, and two of them spent many months of sabbatical in his laboratory. In addition, two former directors, Prof. emeritus Jean-Charles Cerottini (Ludwig Institute), and Prof. emeritus Claude Bron (Biochemistry Department), who have been colleagues and collaborators of Rob during many years, will take you back to the ‘good old times’ and agreed to give a laudatio.
