Séminaire du Laboratoire de psychologie sociale
The persistence of intergroup conflicts around the world creates urgency for research on child development in such settings. Complementing the existing knowledge about internalizing and externalizing developmental outcomes, this talk shifts the focus to children’s prosocial behaviors, and more specifically, introduces the Developmental Peacebuilding Model (DPM; Taylor, 2020).
The DPM makes three main contributions.
This talk will discuss the DPM in light of the Helping Kids!research in five conflict-affected settings: Northern Ireland, Israel, Croatia, Kosovo and Republic of North Macedonia. I would also welcome input through informal discussion about how, if at all, some of these concepts might apply to an established democracy, like Switzerland.
