Les Midi Conférences de l'IUFRS: Prof. Tinne Dilles

Prof. Tinne Dilles is a nurse researcher in the domain of pharmaceutical care, starting from the role of nurses, in close collaboration with pharmacists, physicians, patients and their family, with ongoing projects in nursing homes, community care and hospitals. Through the various positions she holds, Pre Dilles is Chair of the Department of Nursing and Midwifery Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at University of Antwerp in Belgium and Chair of the NuphaC international expert consortium.

NuPhaC (Nurse and Pharmaceutical care) is an international consortium of very enthusiastic professionals who want to make a difference. Together they aim to improve quality of pharmaceutical care and related patient outcomes, with a focus on nurses’ contribution, in an interprofessional, integrated context.

The first part of the presentation will provide the audience with insights in the establishment of NuPhaC, its’ growth and its’ ambitions. In the second part research results will be presented on the NuPhaC-EU framework for nurses’ role in pharmaceutical care, and about self-management of medication by patients during their hospital stay.
