With the surge in novel treatments and complex patient care requirements, understanding patients' symptom experiences and tailoring supportive care have become pivotal in oncology nursing research. The goal of this meeting, which brings together international nurse scientist leaders in this rapidly evolving field, is to foster collaboration and establish a joint global research agenda.
The meeting will be held over two days:
The symposium, which will be held in English, will address urgent research needs, methodologies, and challenges related to oncology symptom science. Invited speakers from various countries will present their research programs and will give their insights regarding the definition of research priorities, data standardization, collaborative strategies, and actionable plans for data sharing.
During the second day, selected experts will convene in closed working sessions to elaborate a joint research agenda based on the identified topics.
