Born as a spin-off of the University of Bologna, Optit is a company that offers software and consulting services that leverage on operations research and analytics to model and optimize processes in multiple sectors, including energy, logistics and waste. In this seminar, Stefano presents Optit's approach to go from state-of-the-art academic research to decision-support systems that are used daily by numerous organizations to make their operations more efficient and effective. Various applications will be showcased, including collaborations with universities as technology partners on financed projects.
