2023 MD-PhD Retreat

The MD-PhD programme of UNIL/EPFL will organize its ninth retreat on Monday, October 30, 2023, at the AGORA building in Lausanne. The annual retreat is a mandatory event and constitutes the minimal requirement for Swiss MD-PhD programme, as defined by the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences (SAMS).
The retreat encourages MD-PhD students and candidates to present their work beyond their immediate research environment and provides an opportunity to meet with former students, thesis directors and faculty members involved in the Lausanne UNIL/EPFL MD-PhD programme.
Posters of all MD-PhD students will be presented and six posters will be selected for oral presentations. Awards will be given for the best presentation and the best poster.
This year, we also have the privilege of welcoming Prof. Jocelyne Bloch, Prof. Niko Geldner, Prof. Sakar Selman and Dr Aikaterini Theodoropoulou as keynote speakers. They will share their experience in promoting science among doctoral and medical students as well as clinicians
