Mark McCormick is an Environmental Engineer with a background in applied research and in project development. His professional mission is to apply modern data science methods to develop efficient solutions to water, wastewater, and solid waste management problems. Born in the United States, he is also a Swiss citizen. He obtained a PhD in Information Systems at the University of Lausanne.
Guillaume's expertise is in water, energy and natural resource management. His focus is on digital innovation and the modernization of utilities in emerging countries. He is a WASH engineer and project manager passionate about international development projects, with 20+ years of experience working at the intersection of technology deployment and water management. After having spent 10 years in operations in water utilities, he became a technology expert in the fields of data analytics, digital innovation and emerging tech for utilities in global technology consulting firms. Today, he provides advisory services to support international institutions, with a focus on improving water supply resilience and speeding up innovation across the water value chain in emerging economies. His wide-ranging expertise includes water resources management, smart operations, data analysis, customer care strategy, and leakage reduction, with interdisciplinary project management experience and communications skills. Aside from work, as a volunteer expert and ambassador for the Solar Impulse Foundation, he works with start-ups and entrepreneurs to help evaluate cleantech solutions for the development of a portfolio of over 1000 profitable solutions to protect the environment.
