OAWEEKCH23: Open access and the revolution in academic publishing - The state of open access

Academic publishing is changing rapidly. The free accessibility of journal articles, without time delays, has become a priority for funding agencies, and requirements are continuously evolving. Moreover, publishers and journals are changing their business models, not only to allow public access to research but also to increase transparency in the scientific community. For researchers, the choice of where and how to publish research products may be confusing. The goal of this event is to facilitate a conversation among professionals from research, publishing, and funding agencies about the changes in academic publishing and the implications of those changes.
